Andre Drummond vs. Karl Anthony Towns vs. Dwight Howard

These three teams have three of the premiere centers in the league.

Dwight Howard was once the best center in the entire NBA. The former first-overall pick forewent college and became a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, but that was then and not now.

Howard is more of a headache now than a top-tier talent. With that being said, he’s still a highly sought after talent and if he opts out of his contract this season, we’ll see exactly that over the summer.

Then there’s Andre Drummond; the Detroit Piston is a walking double-double. In 81 games, Drummond put up 66 double-doubles. For the season, he averaged 16.2 points per game and 14.8 rebounds per game.

His play stepped up a great deal from his previous season, but the Timberwolves currently have the best center out of these three — Karl Anthony-Towns is the real deal. In only his rookie season he amassed 51 double-doubles and averaged 18.3 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.

That means that in one year in the NBA he had a better season than both Dwight Howard and Andre Drummond. Towns has still yet to reach his peak at only 20, and he still has so much ability to reach.
