Ryan Gomes was only 25 years old when the Wolves acquired him, and he played the heaviest minutes of his career in Minnesota. He was over-extended as a starter on the awful Wolves teams from 2007-10, but was overall a solid player who was miscast a couple of different times in his career.

Gomes last played in 2013-14, appearing in just five games for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Sebastian Telfair was another high school standout who had struggled in his first few seasons as a professional. Minnesota was his third change of scenery in his first four years in NBA, but things never fully clicked.

Bassy actually had two stints with the Wolves; after being traded away by David Kahn in the summer of 2009, Telfair returned in a trade in the July of 2010. He’s never been more than a very good third point guard — even as the main backup he’s a bit miscast.

The last time he played was, like Gomes, 2014-15 with the Thunder. It seems unlikely that he’ll end up in the NBA again soon. There simply isn’t much demand for small point guards that don’t defend well and are career 31.9 percent shooters from beyond the arc.

Theo Ratliff was more of a salary dump than anything. The one-time All-Star and shot-blocking savant only appeared in 10 games for the Wolves before being waived. He was oft-injured late in his career and bounced around quite a bit, finishing his career in 2010-11 with a 10-game stint with the Lakers.
