By Alex Monseth
San Antonio Spurs Preview
Record: 47-16 (home 20-6, road 27-7)
Starting Lineup
PG – Tony Parker (10.7 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 4.9 apg)
SG – Danny Green (7.5 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 1 spg)
SF – Kawhi Leonard (25.9 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 3.3 apg)
PF – LaMarcus Aldridge (17.2 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 1.1 bpg)
C – Pau Gasol (12.1 ppg, 7.9 rpg, 2.6 apg)
Key Reserves
Patty Mills (9.6 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 3.3 apg) is lightning in a bottle for the Spurs. He plays stellar defense and is shooting a blistering 42 percent from three-point range in just over 20 minutes per game. Mills could give Timberwolves rookie point guard Kris Dunn quite a difficult time. Rookie point guards tend to turn the ball over quite a bit (Dunn is no exception), and Mills will be sure to provide ball pressure.
Dewayne Dedmon (5.4 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 0.6 apg) has been contributing some terrific minutes for the Spurs as of late. In his last 10 games, Dedmon has played 24 minutes per game while pulling down nearly 10 rebounds, scoring 7.5 points and shooting a phenomenal 76 percent from the field.
