Now that the Timberwolves have been all but eliminated from playoff contention, let’s conduct a quick review of a variety of preseason predictions.

Every year, NBA fans of every franchise start the season with an optimistic outlook on the fate of their teams that season.

Whether it be New York Knicks fans hoping for a playoff appearance with their super team or the Lakers expecting their young team to return to bring back purple and gold pride in Los Angeles, folks expect the best case scenario from their favorite teams — only to be disappointing when the season get’s underway and reality sets in.

For the Timberwolves, it wasn’t just fans that were wrong, but most so-called experts as well. However, even the brightest NBA minds end up being proven wrong and that was certainly the case with these five preseason predictions.
