Nemanja Bjelica: C

Belly was supposed to be a guy that produced sufficient offense off the bench this season.

While he had his days when he put up good numbers, he only averaged 6.2 points in 18 minutes per game. His field goal percentage even went down four percent from last season.

He suffered a left ankle injury in mid-March, which really hurt the Wolves. Bjelica is a strange player where sometimes, it seems, he’s great and a big piece to the team and other times it’s miserable having him on the floor.

Belly had games where he scored 16 points and had 12 rebounds. Then the next day he’d score two points with one rebound. Consistency was a big issue for him this season. He also isn’t exactly the best defender in the gym either.

This was still the best season of his career.

He was drafted in the second round in 2010 and never saw the floor until last season, five years later.

He did improve a little bit from last year so, props to him for sticking with it and becoming a key player for a team in the league.

Even though this was his best season yet, it still wasn’t an impressive season.

If he took more shots, he’d still stay above 40 percent from the field. He has the potential to score ten or more points per game. He’s 6’10” but has a solid outside jump shot.

He’s not far off from where he needs to be for the team to be successful.

If he were scoring two or three more points per game, he would be perfect.

He gets a C this season because I know he can do better than he did. Got to give him a little tough love.
