The Minnesota Timberwolves had a few games that were real stinkers this season. For your convenience, we put together their five worst games.

Last week the Minnesota Timberwolves wrapped up a disappointing 2016-17 season with a 31-51 record. Needless to say, it wasn’t what many fans were hoping for.

At Dunking With Wolves, we are wrapping up our end of season Timberwolves’ awards. As we do that we are also looking back at the season in a variety of ways.

One of those ways is to look at the five biggest clunkers of the season. This will be painful for us to look back at and remember but I urge you to stick with me. We often learn the most when we reflect on the hardest times.

The Timberwolves’ struggles spanned throughout the season as this list contains games from October to March.

Their season didn’t start with a bang as they lost five of their first six games to start the year. A fast start is crucial to building hope with fans and players but that never happened with the Wolves.

After their 1-5 start, things only got worse for Minnesota. They finished the month of December with an 11-22 record and never recovered.

Six times this season the Minnesota Timberwolves boasted at least a four-game losing streak. This included two separate times over the last month of the season when they lost 13 of their last 16 games.
