The Wolves weren’t able to close the Spurs out down the stretch as San Antonio battled back into the game.
The Spurs took the lead for a few brief moments in the fourth quarter but the game ended up tied at the end of regulation, forcing the two teams into overtime.
It was all San Antonio from there. The Spurs led for four minutes in overtime and went home with a 97-90 victory over the Timberwolves.
Towns and Wiggins started out the game hot but wilted down the stretch. The dynamic duo ended with 41 points on 15/40 shooting. That’s not good.
