5. November 13th vs the Los Angeles Lakers

For some reason, the Lakers always seemed to bring out the best in Wiggins as this won’t be the only Lakers game you see on this list.

On this night, Andrew Wiggins dominated the Lakers in route to scoring a career-high 47 points.

In fact, Wiggins owned the Lakers all season long. His 37.8 points per game average against the Lakers was his highest against any team in the NBA this season.

Even though the Timberwolves beat the Lakers in blowout fashion, 125-99, this game was not about the score.ZA

This game was about the ease in which Andrew Wiggins dominated the offensive side of the court. Wiggins could seemingly get to where ever he wanted and the Lakers’ defenders had nothing they could do about it.

He was in constant attack mode as he only settled for five three-pointers on the night. He was constantly able to get to his hot spots on the floor and finished 14/21 shooting.

The fact that Wiggins was able to score 47 points while only taking 21 shots is amazing. He is one of only six players to score 47 points while taking 21 or fewer shots in the last ten years.

With the Lakers inability to keep Wiggins in front of them they ended up sending him to the free-throw line 22 times as well.

Wiggins was nearly unstoppable on this historic night, once again, giving Minnesota Timberwolves’ fans a glimpse of the future.
