How Good Are The Timberwolves Big Three/Comparison
Karl-Anthony Towns – The Phenomenon
“With the number one overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves select Karl-Anthony Towns from the University of Kentucky.”
Those are words that Minnesota Timberwolves’ fans will never forget anytime soon. Not only was this Minnesota’s first ever number one pick, but Karl has put the world on notice!
Rookie of the Year, 2000-point, 1000-rebound club, and the only player with 2000-points, 1000-rebounds and 100 3-pointers in a season.
Those are just some of the unbelievable things that Towns has done in a small sample size. People, this kid is younger than me and I’m 25! Doing the unbelievable is what we have come to expect from Towns.
Towns is one of those once in a lifetime players. It’s not crazy to say that Towns has an MVP trophy in his future.
He’s not only posted three 40+ point games, he also posted three 20+ rebound games.
In a losing effort against the Los Angeles Lakers, Towns posted 40 points and 21 rebounds. Those are amazing numbers but it wasn’t just the stats that he put up, it was the way that he did it. Jump shots, post-ups, put-backs, you want it he did it.
Towns will continue to grow and get better as this is a future Hall of Famer, no discussion about it. Do you hear that? Yes, those are the MVP chants.
Comparison
Tim Duncan Mixed with Charles Barkley
There is no player in the league right now that compares to Towns. No Anthony Davis is not Towns! So let’s go to the past. Remember Philadelphia 76ers Charles Barkley? Yea he was that good. Now, remember Tim Duncan? Towns brings all that to the game. Oh yeah, he can shoot the three too.
