5. Little Red Cor-Vet

It wouldn’t take Prince long to see one of the Timberwolves’ biggest weaknesses of this past season—veteran leadership.

He would, oh-so slightly, edit his 1983 hit, “Little Red Corvette” to match the desires of Tom Thibodeau’s off-season wish list.

Thibodeau shared these desires with Jon Krawczynski in a recent interview.

Thibs struck out during his first off-season of free agency by bringing in the T-Wolf trio of Brandon Rush, Cole Aldrich, and Jordan Hill.

These three, unfortunately, saw more pine inside the Target Center than in greater Minnesota’s surrounding wilderness.

While Rush found himself in the starting line-up later in the season, none of these three made much of an impact on the team this season.

Consequently, Thibs needs to make a splash in free agency or the trade market this summer.

The Wolves have the salary cap space to make such a splash: Bobby Marks of The Vertical highlighted this in his recent “Summer Agenda” series.

Whether it be free agency or a trade, expect President of Basketball Operations Thibs to add “the right” vets this off-season.
