As a result of the Mavericks, Kings, and 76ers all jumping into the top three, this means the two teams at the top of the lottery face their worst nightmare.

The Phoenix Suns fall all the way from the second slot to the fifth overall pick.

While the Suns aren’t happy where they are selecting, they are forced to “settle” for Jonathan Isaac.

Given that Phoenix drafted two power forwards last year, Marquese Chriss and Dragan Bender, they decide to go with another forward again this year.

Isaac played one season at Florida State and showed that he has the ability to step outside and knock down the 3-pointer as he made 34.8 percent last year.

He combined that good outside shooting percentage with 12 points and 7.8 rebounds per game to put together a very solid stat line.

With a core of Devin Booker, Chriss, and Isaac, the Phoenix Suns are beginning to create a team who can play well with one another and mesh while on the floor.

They each bring something a little different to the table and should be able to play off one another’s strengths.

You pair that trio with Eric Bledsoe and the Suns might have something brewing in the desert.
