Markelle Fultz. 1. player. 79. . PG. Washington

The Dallas Mavericks make the improbable happen. They only had a 1.7 percent chance at wining the lottery and, by golly, it happened!

With the Mavericks striking gold, they decide to draft the best player in this class, Markelle Fultz.

Fultz sits at number one on a lot of teams draft boards and for good reason. He averaged 23.2 points, 5.9 assists, and 5.7 rebounds during his only season at Washington.

Fultz has excellent size for the point guard position, at 6-foot-4, and could even play some shooting guard in the NBA.

He also shot 41 percent from the 3-point line in college, which was a huge step up from his high school days.

While he isn’t an elite athlete, he is good enough to be noticed when he is on the court.

He also has a great feel for the game and knows when to be aggressive or when to kick out to his teammates.

Fultz could play alongside the budding young guards of Seth Curry and Yogi Ferrell, alternating playmaking duties.

He would also create a nice young core with Harrison Barnes and Nerlens Noel.

Fultz would start right away for the Mavericks and give them someone to build around as Dirk Nowitzki faes off into the sunset.
