Charlotte winds up with the 11th pick in this simulation, which is where they were forecasted to be.

They decide to go with the big man out of Gonzaga, Zach Collins.

Collins projects to be able to play either center or power forward at the NBA level.

This will give the Hornets some options to mix and match their rotations as they currently have big men Frank Kaminsky, Miles Plumlee, Cody Zeller, and Christian Wood on their roster.

Each of these bigs brings something different to the table, allowing the Hornets multiple looks they can throw at teams.

During Collins’ only year at Gonzaga, he showed that he can score from the paint and the perimeter. Even though he only attempted 0.5 three’s a game, he can step outside and knock down shots when needed.

At 7-feet tall, Collins can also get up and down the floor really well for a big man.

Even though he played sparingly at Gonzaga, he showed the ability to perform well in multiple aspects of the game.

He averaged 23.2 points, 4.1 blocks, and 13.6 rebounds per 40 minutes. That tops other All-Americans such as Caleb Swanigan, Ethan Happ, and Lauri Markkanen.
