Veteran Leadership

As talented as this young core is, they’ve shown a lack of maturity and composure consistently on the court this season. Blown leads became a norm and stretches where the team looks completely lost appear commonly. This team needs a veteran to help the young players remain calm during those periods of struggle in the game.

Solution A: Andre Iguodala

With 13 seasons of experience, Andre has been in winning environments his whole career. He’s been on championship teams, fringe playoff teams and up-and-coming ones alike. He simply knows what it takes to win and would be perfect in guiding this team to a successful path. He’d also be great for the team on the court.

Solution B: Matt Barnes

While it is questionable if Barnes can bring actual production to this team, he certainly provides the team with some experience. He also provides toughness and attitude to a team that lacks emotion at times. Don’t be surprised if he’d become a Thibodeau favorite.

Solution C: Nene

Signing Nene would kill two birds with one stone as he could provide great value on the court as well, but more on that later. He’s got 15 years of experience and would help mentor Towns and Gorgui Dieng on both ends of the floor.
