2. Andrew Wiggins

The Kansas standout and Rookie of the year is an easy number two for the Wolves. Making jumps in not only points per game, but made a jump with his much-improved handles and defense.

He nailed a game winner in Phoenix that really showed off how clutch he was. He drove, lost his balance, pulled up, and hit the shot to give the Wolves the win.

He also showed better rebounding skills towards the end of the year. Being 6-foot-8 and athletic as he is, there should be no reason he can’t get more than five rebounds a game.

The only question mark surrounding Wiggins is his intensity. He often shies away from the spotlight and lets Towns take that role. If Wiggins and Towns both obtain that dog mentality, that will to win, that will be huge for the upcoming season.

Wiggins averaged a career-high 23.6 points and 37.1 minutes per game. He also shot a career-best 35 percent from the 3-point line.

With Wiggins going into his fourth year, he has only missed one game throughout his career. This is huge when it comes to the Wolves who have been hurt by injuries for what seems like years.

He had a career-high 47 points on November 13, 2017, against the Los Angeles Lakers. He also had two straight games of 40 plus points against the original team that drafted him (Cavaliers) and the Denver Nuggets.

On April 9, 2017, Wiggins and Towns became the first Wolves to have 40 points each in a game. It came against the Lakers, Towns had 41/20 while Wiggins “settled” for 40. The Wolves ended up losing the game on a D’Angelo Russell buzzer beater.
