6. Shabazz Muhammad

The third year guard out of UCLA, Shabazz Muhammad, had his minutes cut but still produced at a consistent rate for the Minnesota Timberwolves. At 19.4 minutes per game, he led a putrid bench with 9.9 points. Bazz was one of the more efficient players on offense for the Wolves.

If he could get his left hook jump shot to go consistently for us, the opposing team would be in trouble. Also, he didn’t have a bad outside game either. Shooting it at a respectable 33 percent, opponents often overlooked his 3-point shooting and got surprised if he made it.

He was a quick spark plug off the bench and has been that way for the past two years. He had spurts throughout the year where he could score eight points in three minutes. Other games he would be non-existent both offensively and defensively.

When Bazz wasn’t efficient on either end, the whole bench would usually struggle then. If your best bench player doesn’t produce consistently, it puts a lot of pressure on your starting five.

A big reason why three of the Wolves starters were in the top five in minutes per game that cause our bench couldn’t produce comsistently.

With the off-season in full swing, he should be looking to work on his defense and his right hand as he has been left hand dominant his whole career. If he could post up consistently and get that jump hook to go with his right hand, it would open a lot up offensively for the Wolves.
