5. Gorgui Dieng

The Senegal Native and starting center for the Minnesota Timberwolves played has played a decent role throughout his career. Since the Wolves don’t have depth on the bench he played and started all 82 games for the Wolves.

Throughout last season, Dieng and Zach LaVine developed a beautiful two-man game that was fun to watch. Either a pick and roll or give and go they would play efficiently together. The chemistry amongst them was some of the best on the team.

Dieng came up huge with his crucial rebounding late in games, or with his silky mid-range jumper which he really patented this year.

Dieng has also stepped up his free-throw percentage as of the last couple years. He was once at 65 percent but last year he shot it at an efficient 81 percent clip.

If the Wolves get a big man either via the draft or free agency, expect Dieng to play a backup role which he is better suited for.

He can be a much needed backup center for the Wolves that can lead our bench and also possibly make a late season playoff push for next year.
