Pro Number 1:  Carmelo is a 14 year veteran with 10 all star appearances.

Carmelo Anthony’s track record and statistics over the length of his career tell the story here.  He has been one of the most consistent offensive weapons in the NBA over the last decade and a half.

By adding Carmelo Anthony, the Minnesota Timberwolves would be pairing one of the youngest groups in the NBA with one of the league’s most dynamic scorers.

The Timberwolves were ranked 10th in offensive efficiency according to TeamRankings.com.   Inserting Carmelo Anthony’s 22.4 points per game could make the Minnesota Timberwolves even more dangerous on the offensive end.

Just imagine Rubio running the court with Lavine at the three point line, Carmelo at the high post, as well as Wiggins and KAT streaking towards the basket.  That scenario would give opposing defenses nightmares.

Anthony also gives the Wolves the innate ability to play small ball. They could roll out a lineup of Ricky Rubio, LaVine, Wiggins, Anthony and Towns. That would be almost unparalleled in the NBA in terms of scoring efficiency.

Anthony playing power forward isn’t unheard of for him. He played 31 percent of his time last year at the power forward position. Thus, providing the Wolves with the needed floor-stretching ability from all positions.
