The Washington Wizards squeaked into the second round of this year’s playoffs before losing to Boston in seven games. Is there anyone from their roster that could fit with the Timberwolves in 2017-18?

The Wizards hired former Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Scott Brooks to man their bench this season, and it helped continue the franchise’s upward trend. Washington made a jump from a disappointing 41-41 season under former Timberwolves coach Randy Wittman in 2015-16 to a 49-win campaign this season.

Brooks’ crew is still a fairly young team, with the team’s three best players all under the age of 27: John Wall (26), Bradley Beal (23), and Otto Porter, Jr. (23). The former two players are under contract for four and two more years, respectively, while Porter will hit restricted free agency this summer after a breakout campaign in his fourth year as a pro.

He’ll be joined by Bojan Bogdanovic and Trey Burke in restricted free agency and veteran point guard Brandon Jennings, who will be the team’s only unrestricted free agent.

As we’ve done with the other teams, we’ll take brief look at each of the Wizards’ restricted free agents as well as the one unrestricted free agent on the roster.
