3. Wesley Johnson
In the 2010 NBA Draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves selected Wesley Johnson with the fourth overall pick. Johnson seemed as if he would be the perfect fit for the Timberwolves.
He offered depth on the wing and was a great shooter. He was exactly what the Timberwolves needed.
Sadly, like most of the people on the list, Johnson was what the Timberwolves needed but he never lived up to his protentional. In two seasons with Minnesota Johnson averaged 7.7 points per game.
The Timberwolves eventually traded him for three future second-round picks. So, the Timberwolves basically traded the fourth overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft for three second-round picks.
This seems bad, but it gets even worse thinking of the talent that was in that draft as well. Paul George and Gordon Hayward were chosen at ninth and 10th respectively in that draft.
George and Hayward both have become all-stars in their careers.
Johnson, on the other hand, has never averaged double digit scoring figures. Wesley Johnson played for the Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers and now currently the Los Angeles Clippers.
He turned out to be arguably one of the biggest busts in NBA draft history. Unfortunately, the Timberwolves would be the ones who selected him.
