2. Ndubi Ebi

In the loaded 2003 NBA Draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves selected Nigerian forward Ndubi Ebi with the 26th pick of the draft.

Ebi was the first pick that the Timberwolves had in the first round in over three years. He was highly praised and seemed as if he may be the one piece that would finally make the Timberwolves an elite team in the Western Conference.

Ebi would never live up to the hype that was given to him. In his NBA career, heonly scored a total of 40 points and played 19 games for the Timberwolves.

He was eventually cut by the Timberwolves after two seasons and go on to play for many teams overseas. The Timberwolves had high hopes for Ebi but he just couldn’t ever get to the level in which they wanted him to be at.

Once again, the Timberwolves missed on a draft and once again a future all-star was drafted a couple picks after.

That all-star was Josh Howard. Howard was selected three picks later and went on to have a solid NBA career and one All-Star appearance. The Timberwolves, once again, just couldn’t get it right.
