Player Review: Gorgui Dieng
Gorgui Dieng has been a good player the past four years for the Minnesota Timberwolves. As we analyze his season, we can see just how valuable he really is.
Gorgui Dieng, or as I like to call him, Fundamentals is the former 21st pick in the 2013 NBA Draft and just finished his fourth year. After playing three years at Louisville, Dieng found out what it’s like to be a winner.
After playing three years at Louisville, Dieng found out what it’s like to be a winner. This, of course, was because he was coached under Rick Pitino and won the NCAA national title in his final season.
He has been a good addition for the Wolves. Every so often Dieng hits some inconsistent strides. But, doesn’t every player? At times in his career, he often times found himself struggling to put the ball in the hoop.
But luckily he is a player who does it all. Dieng is good at grabbing rebounds and playing defense.

While he may not be the flashiest or best option in your starting lineup, he’s a player that plays hard and has a will for winning. So while many people want Gorgui Dieng to be gone, they should actually be wanting him to stay.
