Malik Monk is known for his ability to score the ball. Including a tremendous night on December 11 against the eventual NCAA champion North Carolina Tar Heels. Not only did he score 47 points in one game, but he had three other 30+ point performances.

In one season on a talented Kentucky Wildcats team, Monk averaged almost 20 points a game. There’s no doubt that Monk can score the ball with ease. He shot the three-ball with a lot of success, hitting at a dangerous 39 percent clip from deep.

in this video, you can clearly see how great of a shooter and scorer Monk really is.

He is a tremendous athlete, capable of creating highlight reel dunks at any moment. There were many moments where Monk looked like he was defining gravity, but of course here is a great example of a human flying.

The Timberwolves need a three-point shooter badly and Monk can fill that need. Especially with LaVine tearing his ACL this past season, Monk could be inserted in the lineup whenever to help the Wolves with spacing and shooting.

While being a great scorer is good and all, Monk can’t really seem to do anything else. He’s an okay defender, only really having success with other point guards. Being as he is undersized for a shooting guard at only 6′-3″, Monk really has trouble playing against bigger defenders.

With so many teams inserting taller shooting guards, it could be difficult for Monk to transition in the NBA.
