Three Draft Day Trades For Ricky Rubio
Minnesota plans future while Boston goes super in four-way
Minnesota Timberwolves Receives: Jae Crowder, No. 16 via Chicago, No. 18 via Indiana & No. 37 via Boston
Boston Celtics Receives: Paul George & Jimmy Butler
Indiana Pacers Receives: Jaylen Brown, Ricky Rubio, No. 7 via Minnesota, No. 56 via Boston and 2018 first-round via Los Angeles
Chicago Bulls Receives: Avery Bradley, No. 3 via Boston, No. 53 via Boston & 2018 first-round via Brooklyn
Ok I know it’s a whole lot to take in so I’ll give you a moment to process it all before I go in-depth.
Ready? Ok, in this trade Tom Thibodeau and Scott Layden realize that with the Warriors staying together for at least three more years.
Why not build a team to win in three years, Jae Crowder is 26 years old so he fits into this roster as a young vet.
He also brings with him playoffs experience and defense, it also doesn’t hurt that he can shoot the ball at a decent percentage.
Most importantly is that the Wolves receive three picks from this trade allowing them to grab players who fit the mold or trade two and move up.
With this draft being so deep more picks the merrier. As for Boston, it isn’t much to explain.
As the header states, they go super giving up future picks and players who would be behind George and Butler.
For Indiana, it’s time to reset so moving George would just be the beginning players like Monta Ellis and Thaddeus Young would have to go.
They also receive Rubio and Jaylen Brown to build around with the seventh and 56th pick as well as getting a very high pick next year.
Chicago gets Bradley a defensive minded player as well as the third pick to replace losing Jimmy Butler.
Bradley and Wade should be great for a player like Josh Jackson or De’Aaron Fox.

In my eyes, it’s a win-win for everyone let get this done.
