The Minnesota Timberwolves have the No. 7 pick in the 2017 NBA draft. They have many options: they can keep the pick or decide whether they want to trade it.

With the 2017 NBA Draft approaching quickly; the Minnesota Timberwolves will have a decision on their hands in regards to their draft pick. They have to decide whether or not they want to keep or trade the pick.

The NBA draft is this Thursday, June 22 at 6 PM CT.

During the Timberwolves press conference on Wednesday, Tom Thibodeau had this to say about a trade:

"We’re not going to get into specific players. You hear a lot of trade rumors and things of that nature. We’re always looking to improve our club, if we feel there is somebody we can add and improve in certain areas. But we’re always looking to get better."

Scott Layden later added:

"In all likelihood, the picks are so valuable at this time of year that you end up wanting to keep the pick, but we’re leaving all options open."

With the No. 7 pick in the draft and a loaded draft class, the Wolves will have a decision on their hands. However, there are five options the Timberwolves could choose to do if they do decide to trade the pick.

The team already has many talented young players but the Wolves have to decide if a veteran player is more beneficial. With the team needs of 3-point shooting, depth and defense, the team will ultimately decide what option fills those needs.
