Minnesota Timberwolves get: Wilson Chandler, #13 pick in 2017 Draft

Denver Nuggets get: #7 pick in 2017 Draft pick

The Nuggets would be getting rid Chandler’s contract, which is roughly freeing up $11 million a year. Giving them the option to sign a big free agent. Denver has been looking to add a big time free agent to help push them past the 8th seed.

As SLAM Magazine reports that Chris Paul is looking to possibly sign with Denver – marking just one of many options for Denver.

They’d also be getting an asset in the No. 7 pick. Adding to an already talented young team.

For the Timberwolves, Chandler would help out the bench greatly. The Wolves ranked dead last in bench scoring at only 22.8 a night. Mostly coming from Shabazz Muhammad.

Chandler averaged 15.7 points a game, and 33 percent from deep. He would add a new option for scoring output on the bench, and would become a nice floor spacer.

He’s a veteran leader who will be able to help the team out, and show the younger players the ins and outs of the game like he did in Denver.

The 13th pick would still be a great addition – as they could get players like Zach Collins, Justin Jackson and possibly Lauri Markkanen.

Either way, the Wolves would be adding 2 valuable assets to the team. Two players that could help out the bench scoring. A better bench could be what it takes to end the 13-year playoff drought.
