1. Jonathan Isaac

By this time, the hype is real surrounding Isaac and the fans’ push for the Wolves to draft him. And I agree. With all things being considered equal, Wolves should and would draft Isaac over anyone else on this list.

Unfortunately, I don’t believe that he will be on the board when Minnesota is on the lock. Isaac is being projected to go to the Orlando Magic ever since their hiring of new General Manager John Hammond.

Remember, Hammond is a guy who loves length after having drafted Giannis Antetokounmpo, Thon Maker and Malcolm Brogdon with the Milwaukee Bucks.

This is sad news for Wolves fans as Isaac would have given Minnesota tons of versatility and options in their frontcourt and on the wings.

He’s a 6-foot-11 small forward who has the potential to be an elite 3-and-D type player. Something the Timberwolves desperately need.

Isaac also has the potential to be able to slide over to power forward during small-ball lineups.

However, I don’t want to throw caution to the wind because Isaac is anything but a sure thing to become that type of player. He’s only 19-years-old and, while he has a high celing, he also has a lower floor than most prospects being drafted in the top 10.

Isaac needs a fair amount of domino’s to fall in his favor in order for him to turn into that elite 3-and-D player we’re talking about. It appears he has the work ethic to make that happen, however nothing is ever a gurantee in the NBA.
