Before they reunite next season in Minnesota thanks to the Timberwolves’ draft night trade, let’s look back at Jimmy Butler’s best five games during his time with Tom Thibodeau in Chicago.

The Minnesota Timberwolves became one of the most talked about teams on draft night after consummating a trade that may just change their fortune for next season.

Although it is sad to bid farewell Zach LaVine, and Kris Dunn certainly showed potential, it seems clear that the Timberwolves got the better end of the deal as three-time All-Star Jimmy Butler with be touching down for the Wolves next season.

Jimmy Butler was previously coached, and led to four playoff series, by current Timberwolves coach Tom Thibodeau. Thibs was let go from the Bulls on not-the-best of terms, and now it seems Butler has followed under similar circumstances.

Reuniting these two brings hope to the Timberwolves that an elusive playoff berth may finally be within reach this season.
