Jimmy Butler’s best games under Tom Thibodeau
#1 – 35 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals, 1 block in 45 minutes
Another show of Jimmy Butler’s talent on both ends of the court came in a win over the Knicks in 2014. Butler managed 35 points while shooting 52.4 percent from the field and contributing five boards, seven assists, four steals and a block in an impressive effort the Timberwolves would love to see next season.
An all-round performance showcased Butler’s complete game and total talent on the basketball court. Not only can he shoot the ball, he can distribute it — and stop it from reaching his own basket.
If Jimmy Butler can continue his growth when he is reunited with Tom Thibodeau next season in Minnesota, he is more than welcome with the Timberwolves. His talents, both offensive and defensive, will boost the Wolves on both ends of the court, and Butler may just be the spark the Timberwolves’ playoff hopes needed.
Butler was selected to the all-NBA third team this year, after three previous years on the all-NBA defensive second team. His superior defense has evolved into a complete game that sees Butler ranked among the elites of the game.
Something special is coming to Minnesota next season, as the era of the new Big Three begins.
