One Thumbs up

Yes receiving Jimmy Butler is a very huge thumbs up. Get me one of those big foam fingers, please.

The fact that Minnesota swindled the number 16th pick out of Chicago deserves a thumbs up.

That 16th pick leads to the pick of Justin Patton the twenty-year-old freshmen center out of Creighton.

I really like Patton. He is a 7-foot, 230-pound big man with a 7-foot-2 wingspan and extreme potential.

He averaged 12.9 points per game, 6.2 rebounds per game but most importantly was how efficient he was.

Patton shot lights out for his college career, shooting 67.6 percent from the field left many seeing Patton as a bucket getter.

Minnesota’s bench was also one of the worst in the NBA this season.

Fix it Please

How do you fix that? Very simple, you go out and add a bucket getter. Now I understand Patton is very raw.

That’s fine he will have time to grow over the season and should receive an opportunity in my opinion.

Especially if he continues to learn how to shoot, he showed flashes of shooting range.

Adding him to a bench that Thibs should look to add loads of shooters to would be a spacing nightmare.

Building his pick and pop is key as he can already live above the rim and can use his build to shield smaller defenders.

He reminds me a whole lot of Zach Randolph with his build.

Not only can Patton score he also can play some pretty decent defense averaging 1.4 blocks per game.

If Patton can give Minnesota 10 and 8 in his rookie season than Minnesota would have really robbed Chicago.
