Ferguson has already played professional basketball

Whilst Ferguson probably won’t play at a super high level straight away, he has experience playing professional basketball already. He chose to play in the Australian NBL last season for the best regular season side, the Adelaide 36ers.

Although he came to Australia with hype, Ferguson’s numbers definitely do not jump out at you. In Australia, he put up 4.6 points and 1.2 rebounds per game on 31 percent shooting from three. However, the Australian league is underrated, and is definitely a ‘man’s league’. The Physical play in Australia would help his transition into the NBA game.

Ferguson made a name for himself as being able to play his role in Australia. This is something that a lot of players coming out of college struggle with, especially when they are used to being ‘the guy’ most of their lives. He is a high character and whilst he is a streaky shooter, working with better coaches in the NBA will help him.

Ferguson will get a chance to contribute with the Thunder next season and at 6’7″ with a 6’9″ wingspan he is a great size and could be someone who the Wolves regret passing on.
