Pro: Winning

Teague is one of the best winners in the NBA. Just how good is he you may ask? He hasn’t missed the playoffs one time in his eight year career. He didn’t do it single-handedly but he certainly played a big role.

Not totally convinced yet?

Well, he’s played in 66 career playoff games and has won almost half of those with 29 wins. Teague understands what it takes to get to the playoffs, and what it takes to win. This will be a huge culture addition to a team who hasn’t seen the playoffs in 13 years. He will help push the team into the playoffs, along with the other talented players on this roster. He will teach these young guys how to win in the playoffs.

This photo compared to Rubio at point guard really explains how Teague operates.

Focus on the top two statistics. Rubio was a great point guard for Minnesota and it would be fun to see what he would have done next season with this core, especially after a good end of the season run. But, what Teague does for a team’s winning ability is untouchable between the two. It’s almost night and day between the two players. Teague is in the top-15, whereas Rubio is top-35.

Teague will help this team understand what winning is and feels like.
