The Bad

One of a few downsides to Dieng has to be his size as a big man.

He does not have much on him, fat or muscle, to fill into 6-foot-11, 240-pound frame. His lack of build has always made it a struggle for him to power down low in the post. This is why it is vital for him to expand his shooting such as he has.

When you compare him to other big men such as our own Andrew Neururer did last month in his player review of Dieng, you’ll see why his size is such a downside to him.

When he has to post-up on players such as Anthony Davis (6’11” 253 pounds) and Demarcus Cousins (6’11” 270 pounds), you can see where his lack of strength is an issue.

If Dieng can find a way to add some muscle or weight in general in will allow him to expand his game and become more of a post threat. This will also give KAT some relief down low.
