Minnesota Timberwolves: Ranking the contracts
11. Cole Aldrich
Signed Contract: 3-year/$21,900,000
I do think that Cole Aldrich deserves to be on an NBA roster, but at $7,000,000 million plus a year???
He certainly isn’t worth that kind of money.

I will give him some love because he is a Minnesota native, but again $7 million is too much. If he was on the team for less then $4 million then I wouldn’t have an issue with him.
He’s a big presence for any opposing team – standing at 6-foot-11 and 250 pounds. Aldrich is certainly not a small big-man.
Minnesota has lacked a big presence in the paint since the Pekovic days. He does add value in that department I will say.
Still just 28-years of age, he saw only about eight minutes a game. In that short amount of time he averaged 1.7 points a game and 2.5 rebounds. 1.7 POINTS AND 2.5 REBOUNDS FOLKS! And he’s being paid over $7 million a season to put up these numbers.
You’d be better off signing a veteran big for cheaper. Or even find some cheap talent in the draft or summer league. That would save the team around $6 million to go out and find a solid veteran.
