Minnesota Timberwolves: Ranking the contracts
7. Jamal Crawford
Signed Contract: 2-year/$8,900,000
You can’t really be too dissapointed with this sign over the off-season. Jamal is one of the proven players to drastically change a team’s bench. In fact he’s won the sixth man of the year award three times.
However, at 37-years old and not a reliable 3-point shot, it’s a little bit of a questionable fit. I love the idea though of the veteran shooting guard joining our team. I believe that he will be a major upgrade for this bench that struggled mightely last season.
Averaging 12 points a game last season, Crawford will be a nice addition to a team that ranked last in offensive output. He doesn’t just bring scoring to the team though. He has a lot of experience that will play a major role for this team. He made it clear in his press conference that he is going to play the leader on and off the court.
At 37, the man can handle the ball. He will be a great addition for Tyus Jones, where in situations Crawford can handle the ball and show the young man the ropes. You can’t deny the fact that he has one of the best handles in the league… I mean just check this out!
