5. Tyus Jones

Signed Contract: 3-year/$4,019,160

Ah… the Minnesota native.

At just a little bit over $1 million dollars a season, Jones comes at a nice bargain.

Can you believe he just turned 21? It seemed like a long time ago he was cutting the nets down and raising that coveted trophy for Duke.

After completing his second year in the league, it’s safe to say we know what kind of player he will continue to be. And that is a player that gives it his all hustling for loose balls, can shoot a three-ball, and will continue to raise his high basketball IQ.

You can’t ask for anything more out of your backup point guard.

He isn’t the best ball player, but he certainly can fill the role for you when your starting point guard goes to the bench. In fact, he started to play so well that we often times saw Rubio riding the bench late in games.

That’s a lot of trust… but he is a smart ball player that will help your team out in any way he can. Plus at $1 million, it’s hard to argue against that notion.
