Minnesota Timberwolves: 5 Goals For Tyus Jones
Turn Back The Clock
I know that I have said it doesn’t matter as much what Tyus does on offense, however, it is still part of the game of basketball.
Although defense is where he will earn more time and benefit the team more, Jones needs to find his inner Duke-self to improve even more offensively too.
In 39 games at Duke on his way to a national title, Jones was a dominant presence. He averaged 11.8 points and 5.6 assists per game while shooting 42 percent from the field and 38 from three. Not to mention he was a workhorse, averaging 34 minutes per game.
The NBA is obviously nowhere near what Jones faced in college. However, those are promising numbers from the former Most Outstanding Player from the Final Four and NBA Summer League MVP.
