Top 5 points per game leaders in Timberwolves history
By Antoine Bass
#1 – Karl-Anthony Towns
Number-one on the list is no other than 21-year-old sensation Karl Anthony Towns. In his two seasons with Minnesota, Towns has averaged 21.7 points per game.
While this stat may seem inflated because of his short amount of time in the league, watching KAT shows that it is not. He has the talent and skill set to eventually be one of the greatest scorers in NBA history.
KAT is a revolutionary player because he can bang down low, but also can face up and take defenders off the dribble. Not to mention that he is a 36 percent shooter from behind the arc as well. He’s a beast in transition and also has a smooth mid-range that must be respected at all times. He’s a complete player on the offensive end.
The Wolves sure seem to have found a gem with this young guy, because it doesn’t seem as if he’s slowing any time soon.
Last season, Towns averaged 25.1 oints per contest. He would also record a career high of 47 points on the Knicks at the end of November.
Oh yeah, he also added 18 rebounds and 3 blocks to that point total as well.
Watching KAT, you can tell that he is on a path to greatness and that the Timberwolves have found a franchise player for the future. He has already shown countless times that he is an elite scorer.
Though unlike a few guys on this list, KAT isn’t only on elite scorer but at the age of 21 he’s already proved that he is an elite player.
