Top 5 rebounders in Timberwolves history
#1 – Kevin Garnett
Any list you want to start with the best of anything in Timberwolves history, it has to begin with Kevin Garnett.
The Big Ticket is regarded as one of the best power forwards to ever play the game, and rightfully so. He played with such passion and raw emotion that it was difficult not to root for the 15-time All-Star. Garnett put the Timberwolves on his back season after season, leading the franchise to eight playoff appearances, but failed to reach the NBA Finals in Minneapolis.
After ending his 21-year career with an average of 10 rebounds per game, Garnett retired as the ninth-leading rebounder in NBA history (14,662). He led the NBA in total rebounds om four straight seasons, from 2003-2004 to 2006-2007. It is no contest, of course: Garnett is not only the best Timberwolf to ever wear the green, black, blue and white, but also one of the best to ever play the game.
His name will stand on top of the rebound leader board for the foreseeable future, as the only current player within shouting distance is Dwight Howard, ranked 22nd (12,089).
