4. Terrell Brandon – 1,681 Assists

Terrell Brandon finished his 11-year career with Wolves. Playing only four seasons with the team, Brandon found good success. In fact, he actually had some of his best seasons with the Wolves, despite his tenure in Minnesota coming at the end of his career.

But, Brandon somehow pulled off this incredibly hard feat and landed himself fourth on the all-time assist leaders for the Wolves. He spent most of his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers and two brief seasons with the neighbors across the Mississippi River, the Milwaukee Bucks.

As a matter of fact, he was traded to Minnesota as part of the Marbury deal that sent him to New Jersey. It wasn’t a bad trade for Minnesota overall as they received a solid veteran point guard in Brandon and many other assets that helped the team.

In his time with Minnesota, Brandon averaged more assists per game than he ever did with the other two teams, besides 1997-98, when he recorded 7.7 assists per game with the Milwaukee Bucks. His assist totals were as follows…

1998-99: 9.8
1999-00: 8.9
2000-01: 7.5
2001-02: 8.3

By all means, Brandon definitely saw the most success in his career in terms of assists with the Timberwolves.
