The Timberwolves have not been known as a three-point shooting team of late, but let’s look at five guys that have been solid contributors from downtown at some point in franchise history.

It’s no secret that the Minnesota Timberwolves have been near the bottom of the NBA when it comes to three-point shooting recently. However, when looking back on the Timberwolves past there are a few players who stand out at being good long-range snipers.

When factoring the best three-point shooters in Timberwolves history I looked at both single-season percentages and consistency with the team. Some of these guys stand out because of the lack of shooting on their respective teams. Others stand out because of their staggering numbers.

There is no doubt that the Timberwolves current roster could use a few of these guys this next season. Improving the three-point percentage for the team will be important for spacing the floor next year.

Last year, the Timberwolves were ranked 20th in the NBA from behind the arc.  Tom Thibodeau will be looking to guys like Andrew Wiggins and Jeff Teague to post better numbers than average from deep this year in order to help the team.

A wise man once said, “In order to make a better future we must first take a look at our past”.

So without further ado, let’s jump into the countdown.
