10. Love vs Dallas Mavericks 12/30/13

We start the list off with Love’s end of the year performance vs the Dallas Mavericks in the 2013-14 NBA season.

Love came into this game averaging 26.1 points, while also snagging 13.8 rebounds. Also, at this point of the season, there were some who thought Love was playing at an MVP caliber pace. This may be attributed because coming into this game, he was third in the NBA in scoring.

Love was on a roll as of late and looked as if he was the best power forward in the NBA at the time. This great play from him didn’t slow down.

This game showed off Love’s versatile skill set to the fullest. Love started the game off with his first basket being a long two.

He then scored his second basket with his back to the basket by throwing up a simple hook shot. Throughout the game, he abused mismatches of smaller players guarding him by backing them down and getting easy baskets at the time.

He displayed early that he can score in many ways. He showed that not only does he has the strength and skill to bang down low in the post, but he can also step out and hit the long jump shot with consistency as well.

While he only posted 4 assists, his ability to pass was displayed as well. He amazed the crowd with his ability to pass, by throw his signature outlet pass to a leaking Corey Brewer for an easy transition basket.

While the Wolves ended up losing this game by two, Love continued his stretch of great basketball.

He finished the game with 36 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists while shooting 14-24 from the field.

Leaving us Wolves fans with just another memory of his greatness.
