Minnesota Timberwolves: Kevin Love’s top 10 games
By Antoine Bass
4. Love vs Atlanta Hawks 2/1/14
It’swell-knownn that Kevin Love is a double-double machine. Two things you know about him is, he can score the basketball, and he can rebound as well. The Atlanta Hawks found this out the hard way.
On Feb. 1, 2014, Love did what he does best and record a big boy double-double of 43 points and 19 rebounds against the Hawks.
Love had another dominant performance of his career. He had 15 points and 12 rebounds going into the half. These numbers from him ended up leading to Minnesota going into the half with a 54-43 lead.
Coming out of the half, he didn’t slow down, as he scored 28 points in the second half of the game. Unfortunately, this was not enough as the Hawks went on a surge in the third quarter and eventually went on to win the game 120-113.
While the Wolves may have lost, Love was not a loser that night. He was once again in that zone of where he tried to do whatever it took to win, but it just couldn’t happen on this night.
He had an efficient night shooting the basketball by going 12-22 from the field. He also shot 18 free throws, in which he made 17 of them.
Love was aggressive the entire night as he just tried to find his shot and easy opportunities to score. If there wasn’t a body on him, he was grabbing the rebound. It can be seen at times, the Hawks had to have two players box out Love because of how aggressive he was at crashing the glass.
It was just another great game, for a great player to add onto his list of great games in his career.
