Today’s Minnesota Timberwolves’ tidbits checks in on Jamal Crawford‘s interview, Wolves preview of the Dallas Mavericks and much more.

The NBA offseason can be a boring time. Not much is going on and NFL is beginning to dominate the action. Especially with the preseason set to start tonight.

However, we can’t forget our Minnesota Timberwolves and everything they have been doing. After Wednesday’s workouts they failed to immediately sign a player. That doesn’t mean they won’t eventually.

One of the guys they looked at was Anthony Morrow. He’s mostly known for his outside shooting as Dane Moore of Canis Hoopus intelligently points out:

Conversely, Lucas Hafer of A Wolf Among Wolves believes the thought of Morrow is infinitely better than the actual Morrow:

In official Timberwolves’ news, Kyle Ratke and Tim Faklis preview the Dallas Mavericks in their offseason showcase series:

Speaking of podcasts. Jamal Crawford stopped by a local website to complete an hour preview. He sat down with Joe Nelson of the One Hunnit podcast and did his best to keep it 100. At one part of the interview, Crawford talks about getting home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

CBS Sports’ Brad Botkin ranks the 10 best offseason decisions in the NBA this summer. Somewhat surprisingly, he ranks the Jimmy Butler acquisition all the way down at number nine. He cites spacing and shooting concerns as a main reason the ranking is so low.

Last, but certainly not least, Dunking With Wolves’ Josh Bungum penned an important note to Wolves’ fans. He reminds us all of the importance of appreciating the talents a player brings to the squad. Especially a unique and top-level player such as Butler.
