11. Cash, a 2011 and 2014 second-round pick to Miami for Michael Beasley.

There are two main reasons Minnesota ened up with the former second overall pick. One, Michael Beasley was an underwhelming talent in his first two years with the Miami Heat. And two, Miami’s newest free-agent acquisition LeBron James.

Regardless of James signing, Minnesota was smart to move in for the taking.

They gave up two measly picks; a 2011 second and a 2014 second. Bojan Bogdanovic was picked with the 31st overall selection in 2011. Markel Brown was drafted 44th overall in 2014. Bogdanovic has had a nice NBA career with the Brooklyn Nets and part of last season with the Washington Wizards. But who’s to say if Minnesota would’ve even selected him in 2011.

During Beasley’s first season, Minnesota thought they had captured lightning in a bottle. He came in and averaged 19.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.

However, he saw a huge dip the following season, mostly due to injury. He only put up 11.5 points per contest that year.

He signed with the Phoenix Suns over the summer and moved on from his time in Minnesota. However short-lived it was, it was fun to be sure. If he had stayed longer, this trade might be even higher on the list.
