Five things Timberwolves fans need to know about Karl-Anthony Towns
1. He loves sports
Aside from basketball, Towns has always been a keen lover of all things sport.
When a rookie, he took to Target Field to toss the first pitch between the Minnesota Twins and the Los Angeles Angels.
Towns has always had a love of baseball and was a Little Leaguer in Piscataway despite his obvious build for the NBA.
In fact, it was Piscataway’s Little League’s manager Rob Hollan that nicknamed him Big KAT, which has since stuck with the pro-NBA player.
Holland also referred to Karl as:
"A big teddy bear. He was quiet, laid back, and was a great teammate […] he loved being on the field."
