Minnesota @ New Orleans – 11.01.17

Wolves Win: 5-3

The Pelicans start the year with a losing streak which makes them consider listening to trade requests for DeMarcus Cousins.  The Timberwolves take advantage and steal their second road win against a rattled opponent.

Dallas @ Minnesota – 11.04.17

Wolves Win: 6-3

Dallas was one of the worst road teams last year and despite the addition of my rookie of the year pick, Dennis Smith Jr, it won’t be much better for them this year.  The Timberwolves crush the Mavericks for a convincing home victory.

Charlotte @ Minnesota – 11.05.17

Wolves Win: 7-3

Don’t look now but the Timberwolves emerge as a contender in the west based off of their solid early season play and newfound home court advantage. This game continues to build confidence as the Timberwolves stay undefeated at home.

Minnesota @ Golden State – 11.08.17

Wolves Lose: 7-4

Let’s just say Golden State reminds us why they are the best team in the NBA. Minnesota drops their first home game before embarking on a short road trip.

Minnesota @ Phoenix – 11.11.17

Wolves Win: 8-4

The Phoenix Suns have an exciting young core that will compete with the best of them in the West, but ultimately they come up short against the new Timberwolves.  We know all too well how long it takes for potential to turn into wins.

Minnesota @ Utah – 11.13.17

Wolves Lose: 8-5

Rubio gets his revenge here by leading the division rival Jazz to a home win.

San Antonio @ Minnesota – 11.15.17

Wolves Lose: 8-6

San Antonio was also one of the best road teams last year and the young Wolves fall at home. They will keep it close but ultimately Kawhi Leonard puts it away late in the fourth quarter.

Minnesota @ Dallas – 11.17.17

Wolves Win: 9-6

They bounce back after a few tough losses and take advantage of a less talented Mavericks team in Dallas.  Jimmy Butler leads the way here and helps break the losing slump.

Detroit @ Minnesota – 11.19.17

Wolves Win: 10-6

They win a tight one at home against an improved Pistons squad.  Target Center has become a tough place for opposing teams to steal a win at this point in the season.

Minnesota @ Charlotte – 11.20.17

Wolves Lose: 10-7

Charlotte takes advantage of a lackluster night for the Timberwolves behind a solid night from Kemba Walker.  The Timberwolves continue to play average road basketball.

Orlando @ Minnesota – 11.22.17

Wolves Win: 11-7

Orlando gets decimated at the Target Center in a landslide victory.

Miami @ Minnesota – 11.24.17

Wolves Win: 12-7

Miami was a bit below average when it came to road games last year and although they improve this year it’s not enough to slow the confident Timberwolves.  The Heat fall in a tight game.

Phoenix @ Minnesota – 11.26.17

Wolves Win: 13-7

At six games above five hundred people around the league start taking notice of the Timberwolves as a legitimate playoff threat.  The Suns don’t fare well on the road, and they certainly won’t in Target Center next year.

Washington @ Minnesota – 11.28.17

Wolves Win: 14-7

The Timberwolves play their second best game of the season up to this point against a very good Wizards team and solidify their spot as a contender.  Washington puts up a tough fight but Minnesota pulls out the home victory furthering the home court advantage.

Minnesota @ New Orleans – 11.29.17

Wolves Lose: 14-8

All good things must come to an end.  After a four-game win streak, they drop one to a New Orleans team scrapping for a win against a western opponent.
