Karl-Anthony Towns puts up monster numbers against a dominant Clippers frontcourt here. He begins getting media recognition as a dark horse MVP candidate after his performance here.

Minnesota @ Memphis – 12.04.17

Wolves Win: 16-9

The Memphis Grizzlies will be one of the teams to fall out of playoff contention in the Western Conference. The Timberwolves score a rare road victory here against a Grizzlies team searching for an identity.

Dallas @ Minnesota – 12.10.17

Wolves Lose: 16-11

The Mavericks shock the Timberwolves at home based off of Dennis Smith Jr’s monster game.  It’s hard to sweep a team in the NBA and the scrappy Mavs steal this one.

Philadelphia @ Minnesota – 12.12.17

Wolves Win: 17-11

As we said earlier it takes a while for potential to become victories.  Philly competes for a playoff spot next year… but it’s in the East.  Timberwolves get a blowout win here.

Sacramento @ Minnesota – 12.14.17

Portland @ Minnesota – 12.18.17

Damian Lillard loves when people underestimate his team, and people are underestimating the Trailblazers.  The Wolves lose a game they should win because they don’t prepare for a monster Lillard performance.  Another divisional rivalry begins to bud.

The Northwest division is tough. Denver plays a dominant game at home as our guys have a hard time adjusting to the altitude.

Although the Timberwolves are vastly improved this year they are also a young team when it comes to winning.  The Wolves lose an uncharacteristic game in Phoenix. Thibodeau gets angry.
