Milwaukee is going to be a scary team next season and they steal one in a closely contested game at the Target Center. As much as I hate it, Milwaukee wins the season series.
New Orleans @ Minnesota – 02.03.17
Wolves Win: 35-21
New Orleans trades Demarcus Cousins as they begin their descent to the bottom of the league.
Minnesota @ Cleveland – 02.07.17
Wolves Lose: 35-22
Cleveland is too much to handle and Lebron leads the Cavs to a blow out victory over the Timberwolves. Tom Thibodeau gets upset again.
Minnesota @ Chicago – 02.09.17
Wolves Win: 36-22
In Zach Lavine’s first game against his former team, he drops 40 points. It doesn’t matter though because no one else on the Bulls score.
Sacramento @ Minnesota – 02.11.17
Wolves Win: 37-22
Minnesota continues its dominant home court play against a bottom-dwelling Kings team.
Houston @ Minnesota – 02.15.17
Wolves Lose: 37-23
Houston breaks up the homestand with a victory against the Timberwolves. A high scoring game ends with a James Harden buzzer beater to let the Rockets steal one in Minnesota.
LAL @ Minnesota – 02.17.17
Wolves Win: 38-23
The Timberwolves waltz into the All-Star break with an easy victory against Lonzo Ball and the Lakers. KAT and Jimmy Butler get selected to the All-Star game. Andrew Wiggins joins the dunk contest.
So for a quick recap, the Timberwolves go 25-7 at home and 13-17 in road games, before the All-Star break. The Timberwolves show why the home court at Target Center is so potent as the Twin Cities rally around this talented group.
