Verdict

The NBA today is all about having a top-heavy roster. Every winning team needs at least one, if not two, stars on their team to be considered good. Even teams with two stars on their rosters don’t always see the desired result. (See: New Orleans).

The Thunder and Timberwolves are two of the most top-heavy in the league. As currently constructed, the Big Three of Westbrook, George, and Anthony looks a little bit better than Butler, Towns, and Wiggins. The wild card among those six players is Wiggins. If he can improve his game in a big way this season, the odds shift in Minnesota’s favor.

However, my crystal ball is out-of-order this week. Nobody knows if he will take that big step this season, so Oklahoma City gets the advantage.

No matter who looks better on paper, watching these two Northwest division teams duke it out will be exciting.
